Gracious Grace!

  I remember it all so clearly; the laughs, the cries and the screams

  I remember it all so clearly; the laughs, the cries and the screamsWe boarded the great maiden, awaiting a wonderful adventure. Dad gripped my hand tightly as we waved goodbye to the citizens of Southampton. A tear dropped from my eye; if only mum could be here with us.

My story is about a young girl who boards the great titanic with her dad. She lost her mum to diphtheria a long time ago, so her dad is all that she has left. She makes good friends with a girl called Lucy and they together explore the great titanic.     

Not to long after finishing a game of cards with her dad, she notices the sound of silence. The humming of the engine had stopped and she can hear the pitta patter of footsteps and young childrens’ cries. This is when she awakens her dad and discovers the bad news.

Some people were killing themselves or throwing themselves overboard. The majority of them were at the tip of the titanic; never giving up hope.                                       “DAD!” I yelled                                                                                                      “There’s nothing you can do Maree, I’m so sorry” 

I miss you dad, Im sorry i let go…I love you
